Today's Update

Today, Keiko sensei writes that our students are having difficulty getting internet connections at their host families, but "they are having a GREAT time"--a "one-of-a-kind" time, she writes.  (While we would prefer to hear from them, it's nice for them to get a glimpse of how people in Japan live beyond the comforts of Tokyo and major metropolitan areas.  Even Japan has "rural" areas!)

One of our CGS alumni, Mike Stein, is currently living in Japan, and has been acting as a general host to our group--it sounds like a fortuitous circumstance, as Keiko writes that he is "well-connected and well-known."

Keiko sensei writes that they have all been "well received and will be badly missed. The staff, the host families, and the students are very good for our students and I deeply appreciate their hospitality and kindness."

In the meantime, she asks that we patient as we wait for student blogs; they will post them as they get reliable internet connections, and Keiko sensei will post photos as she has them.
